This
is a very pregnant Miss Ears deMunk surveying her domain.
She has two chippy babies from her first litter last fall, Sugar
Plum and Baby Face. We are all excited to see how many
babies she will have this year.
Right now she is
very busy gathering up sunflower seeds to store in her den.
After she gives birth, she will remain in her den with her new
babies for about 4 weeks. She'll need a good supply of food
and by the looks of it, she'll have plenty. |
It's also
important to have plenty of fresh water available in your yard.
Self-watering containers are the best, but any clean bowl will do.
And, remember to place your containers where your wildlife will have
adequate protection from predators.
